Is an organic orchard less efficient than a traditional orchard? If so, how?

Organic orchards don’t have the ability to use growth enhancing chemicals to assist with rapid growth, therefore our yields are naturally going to be lower., which makes cost of production higher. Even though we use fertilisers, the cost of these is generally higher than conventional fertilisers. Since we can’t use products like Round Up (Glysophate) we have to hand weed the whole orchard which incurs more labour cost.  Overall our practices are less intensive than conventional horticulture.
